Eighteen years interpreting Japanese. Then I wrote the book I wanted.

I interpreted for Microsoft, IBM, NTT DoCoMo and Lucent, in boardrooms across four continents, before I ever wrote a textbook. What I kept noticing was that the books all started in the wrong place — page one, chapter one, forty-six characters to memorise before you could say anything at all. So the From Zero! series starts where a beginner actually is: at zero.
